Angelica Panganiban defends John Lloyd Cruz and herself against people tagging them as ‘alcoholic’

Actress Angelica Panganiban says there is nothing wrong with social drinking, when asked in an interview about rumors that she and boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz are often spotted getting drunk in public places.

“It only becomes wrong when bad things happen, when you start neglecting your job, or when you don’t perform well on your show,” Angelica shares in “Tapatan Ni Tunying” airing this Thursday (June 26).

The actress defends herself and John Lloyd against people who say they are alcoholic.

“We drink, but we’re not aggrieving any person. We’re actually kind when we’re drunk. I give bigger tips when I’m tipsy,” she says.

Jhong Hilario, meanwhile, opens up about his experience using prohibited drugs in a separate interview. He relays that it happened on the height of the Street Boys’ popularity.

“Ecstasy was a hit at that time. You meet some friends, and when you enjoy their company, you can’t say no to them,” he shares.

However, Jhong eventually stopped going to clubs and parties to avoid meeting people who might be a bad influence on his life. He also wants to give his family a better future.

“When I was given an opportunity in the entertainment industry, I did not waste it. I decided to leave and forget all of my vices, and then I concentrated on my craft,” he tells.
