Asia’s Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose and Kapuso star Xian Lim showered Jessica Villarubin with appreciation as they will be performing in the upcoming GMA Pinoy TV Dubai Expo concert Wednesday, March 23.
San Jose, who observed Villarubin’s journey to stardom, was amazed by the singer’s development.
“Alam mo ‘yon, nakakatuwa na makita si Jessica pati yung growth niya as an artist. Grabe, wala akong masabi kasi napakabait niya, napaka-humble, and she just keeps on getting better and better,” said the singer-actress during the virtual media conference of the event.
She even admitted that Villarubin’s performances in the variety show All-Out Sunday makes her and her other artists want to go home.
“‘Pag naririnig namin siya sa AOS, ‘pag naririnig namin siya, like every week, parang gusto na lang naming umuwi. Kasi wala na! Tinapos na niya talaga.
“Halimawan talaga yung pagkanta niya. Ang galing talaga ni Jessica. She deserves everything, she deserves the best, and she deserves to perform talaga sa Dubai Expo especially napakadaming audience doon mas makikilala siya lalo.”
On the other hand, Lim does not want to give any advice to Villarubin, stressing that it was he who needed one.
“Kakailangan pa ba niya ng tips?! Baka naman pagdating namin sa Dubai baka ma-who you kami ni Jessica. That’s how good she is. So she’s a talented artist,” lauded the actor-filmmaker.
Villarubin was left speechless after hearing the kind words from her co-performers as she expressed, “Wala, thank you talaga.”
“Kasi first time ko nga. Medyo kinakabahan nga ako talaga kasi mukha siyang concert tapos ang laki nang stage, ang daming tao. Challenge to for me as in talaga, and I’m sure na I will do my best talaga sa event na ‘to.”
The special concert will be held at the Dubai Millennium Amphitheatre, Dubai Expo Grounds, on March 30.
