On January 6, Viva actors Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles addressed feeling the pressure of settling down as a couple.
At the media conference for Girlfriend Na Pwede Na, which LionhearTV covered, Molina acknowledged the pressure on Napoles, especially about asking her hand in marriage.
“Of course, it’s a guy thing na napre-pressure din talaga siya with everyone asking kasi siya ‘yung gagawa.”
However, she clarified that she understands that Napoles still has things he wants to do before settling down, similar to her.
“Ako naman, I always see to it na– I tell him na, I understand your pacing, I [understand] that you want something for yourself. I’m also like that.
“Like, I know my clock as a woman, body clock ko, I know that, but I know, alam ko, it’s okay kasi ang dami ko gustong gawin.
Napoles then cited the career and financial considerations they still have as a couple.
“Parang magkakakonekta kasi ‘yung consideration eh.
Molina added that it was their mutual decision to slow down.
“It’s a mutual decision, but we both know na may ano.
However, Molina noted that if it wasn’t for the pandemic, she might have had a different response about getting married.
“Ipon, ipon you know, if we both think– lalo na noong pandemic po.
Molina and Napoles star in the Vivamax romantic comedy Girlfriend Na Pwede Na with Gab Lagman.
The Viva Films produced rom-com features supporting cast such as Tomas Rodriguez, Heart Ryan, Nicole Omillo, Andrea Barbierra, Prince Estefan, and Gene Padilla.
Under the direction of Benedict Mique, Girlfriend Na Pwede Na premieres on January 18 in cinemas.
